This evening Sydney and I met up with our ITA Keith and went to a restaurant where they serve Vietnamese, Chinese and other Eastern food. Tonight we let Keith recommend and tell us about the food, which was really neat because he pronounced all the Vietnamese names for each dish and told us about them. Like for the pho soups, he told us what noodles, broth, and vegetables go in it. What was kind of funny was when we actually got the food in the restaurant, Keith was mentioning how in Vietnam the dishes are much bigger and have a lot more vegetables and bigger portions of meat, which was a surprise because the dishes were HUGE! The bowl and soup that went into it probably amounted to be half a gallon-or at least that's what it felt like.

  1. That's very interesting that their portions are much larger there. That would be a good form of culture shock.
