My first tutoring partner that I met is Yoshimi. She is the cutest person I've ever met. She is 24 years old and she is from Japan. This is her second session at CIES and in October she must go back to Japan :( Yoshimi is a Listening Level 3 and Grammar Level 2. She is studying Music Therapy and wants to get her Masters Degree here at Florida State. She plays all different kinds of instruments but her favorite is piano. She loves to listen and play to classical piano. I think that when we start tutoring I want to play quiet classical piano in background. It might help her learn, and it might make her feel more at "home." When I first met her, she was very shy and I asked her about that and she told me that she was really homesick, so I want to make sure that she feels more at home here.

Cool about music therapy! If she never wants any music information I know a ton about the College of Music and auditions being a music minor. The classical music in the background is a great idea by the way, we do that in my music classes all the time!
