I have another person I am tutoring that I talked to. I ended up telling him I can tutor him. His name is Dohoun and I met him a little later than the other students I met. We did a lot in the 2 hours we had. I was not very prepared which I apologized for. I wanted to get specific information from him so that I can come up with something fun for him to read and not something too general and boring. We went to BBC online and pulled up an article about what is happening between the Congo and Rwanda. Even though the material was tough. I would have to say the reading for him was his level +1 because he was still able to understand the message, just one or two words in a paragraph that he was not familiar with made it challenging. I would have to say that his level would be more than just intermediate. He understood a lot of difficult sentence structures. The article was also very long and I was a unfamiliar with the topic as well. This made it a little challenging because since it was the first time I was reading it and he was reading it. Him reading the article out loud made it beneficial. I realized I made mistakes and will polish how I tutor in the future. He also told me he wanted to take the Speak test in August, so I told him we can do one week Speak the next week some other activities. We agreed and thought it was a good idea.
