I met with Sarah on Google talk since we could not meet outside of this means of communication. She had a lot of questions for me and I believe she was taking notes as well. This threw me off at first but then understood why she was using them. She asked me about where my family is from and where we are from originally. She also had some questions about Romania and my family there. She also asked me where I wanted to teach English and told be that Korea was a very good place to go to teach. She also asked me about my church and I explained to her how my father was able to get married and become a priest because in the Eastern Orthodox church if you get married before you become a priest, you are able to marry. She also turned in her paper and said she was very happy to have done this. I asked her some questions as well before we had to go since it was getting late at night. She told be she lives in Regans and that it was the first time she is living alone, away from her parents. We started discussing how that is different between cultures. Even in the Romanian culture, your parents support you until you are on your feet. This is different from the American family; which sometimes has children on their own at 18 years of age or even before. It was a very interesting conversation.

  1. It's really cool how you can tell her about two cultures instead of just one! :)
