I met Kosuke again on Tuesday. I actually ended up being in his Listening class. We decided at the end of that class to focus more on speaking then anything else. The teacher talked about how Japanese learn a lot of tough grammar in schools in Japan but they don't focus enough on speaking. The lesson was all about how you have to speak as well to learn a language not just learn grammar above your level. Because of this we looked at each other in agreement that we would meet during tea time and talk more than do anything else. Therefore, we met at tea time and talked about a lot of different things. Hard Gay was actually brought up. Whom is a comedian in Japan who would be seen as being very controversial here. After discussing different things we ended up looking through an email together that he wanted to send to a professor he wants to talk to about his research. Lastly, I showed him the TED Talk website where he can look at videos about various topics. I shared with him how much I loved these talks because they talk about change and problems in the world. Along with new technologies and innovations.
