Last week I met my conversation partner Dohoun for the first time. One of the first things I noticed is that he tends to undersell his speaking skills, which are actually very good. He spoke clearly, with very few pauses, and while his grammar wasn't perfect, he always got his point across. As the conversation inevitably drifted toward food, he mentioned that he hasn't found all that many good restaurants in Tallahassee. I took him to a place called The Crepevine, and he seemed to really like it. I told him that I was thinking of teaching in South Korea, an idea he strongly agreed with. He told me a bit about Seoul, and more about his interests, and it seems like we have a lot in common. I'll probably see him at Milano's tonight... More on that later!
