So today, I met up with Keith, who is from Vietnam. We went to the Rez and kayaked for a little while, but there was a storm so we didn't get to go paddle-boarding like we wanted to. I found out that Keith is doing research with his professors on creating energy efficient batteries. He specifically is studying renewable energy like from the sun and wind. Also, Keith was raised in a farming community, specifically near the water, so he is an excellent fisher and is also incredibly fast in a kayak. We went out to the middle of the lake, and even though I kind of cheated and had a head start, he almost beat me when we raced back to the shore. Because it started to storm, we ended up going to Starbucks. One thing Keith did mention, was that he was not very fond of American food because it was too sweet and too greasy.

  1. Going to the Rez sounds so much fun! Awesome idea.

  2. Sounds like you need to find some not too greasy or sweet food for him to try. Any ideas?

  3. The only place I can think of would be something like Panera or Sweet Tomatoes.
