I met with Wangsuk for a second time yesterday. We decided to meet in the Starbucks inside Strozier library but it was very quiet so I decided to get a smart room. Wangsuk and I spoke about many different topics. He told me about his favorite soccer player and was shocked that I knew that he recently got traded to another team. We also spoke about his favorite basketball team, the Miami Heat. We then talked a bit about universities and he asked me why I didn’t go to UF. I told him that they didn’t have my major there but it is closer to my hometown. He then told me that his girlfriend goes there and how they met. They are both Korean and they met in a random town in Florida. He told me that they visit each other every 2 weeks or so which is a lot of driving. Wangsuk and I then spoke a bit about future plans. He said I was ambitious for wanting to move away from home and seek a career outside of the United States. He told me that I reminded him a bit of himself a few years ago. Wangsuk invited me to go to the gym with him this week so I am looking forward to that.
