Alright everyone...I am a bit behind on my posts (an understatement), so you may see an influx of "Stan" posts coming through!

On Thurs 7/5 met with Samer for the first time. He likes to be called Sam (which could either be a sign of his willingness to assimilate or perhaps is something he is called in his homeland as well....something I will have to research further). He is a 20 year old Saudi Arabian who is studying special education with a focus on learning disabilities. He became interested in this because his brother was physically handicapped (quadriplegic). His brother was the eldest boy in the family, but he has passed on, so now he his the eldest male.He also has three other brothers who are 17, 11, and 8 years old respectively.  He likes to play soccer, PS3, and he loves American film. He said that his favorite "homestyle" food is Kapsa (Arabian Chicken and Rice), but he is interested in trying other types of cuisine. I'm thinking we are going to have to take a couple outings in the near future...
