A couple of days ago I went to First Friday with my CP Dohoun, Claire, and Jackson. It was my last First Friday in Tallahassee, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to share it with. We saw a really good ska band, a decent cover band, and made several trips around a small art gallery, stoping for more chips and salsa with each lap. It was really cool to notice the progress that Dohoun has made in the short time that I've known him. We went from small talk about our respective countries during our first meeting to him using American slang and goofing around with us like old friends. He's been an excellent ambassador for South Korea; every time I hang out with him I want to go teach there even more. I'm sure we'll all hang out again soon, and of course, I'm looking forward to it.
